Breast milk (esp the very first called colostrum) contains mother's antibodies. Baby gets these passively. That means that they are "borrowed" for awhile until he makes his own.
There are links below in the related links section that show illustrations and give information about the anatomy and how a mothers' milk is made. Lactation is the most natural method of feeding babies and the most common accepted method world wide. It is a more healthy way for babies to feed when the mother is capable of producing enough milk, even small supplements of breast milk can improve the baby's health and prevent infections in babies better than using only formula. Breast milk contains important antibodies from the mother's immune system to help protect newborns from infectious diseases to which the mother has been exposed and which will likely also be in the environment of the infant. Infants under 6 months old can not be vaccinated to achieve their own immunity because their immune systems are too immature to give an adequate response, so without breast milk, babies are not as protected against infectious diseases that can be life-threatening to newborns. There is much more information on this in the related links section below.
no breast cancer is not infectious
Mothers pass on immunity to diseases through their breast milk. So it is best if a mother can breast feed.

It is unlikely that fluid from breast cancer is infectious. Most cancers are non-infectious, they develop because of a mutation in that person's DNA - therefore fluids from that person should not be infectious. There are however some infectious causes of cancer, such a small number of viruses. If you are concerned that you have come into contact with hazardous material consult your doctor.

1. breast feeding is healthy and babies cannot get diseases and viruses from doing it (unless you have a sexually transmitted disease) 2. Breast milk has the perfect nutritional values for the baby to grow up healthy and strong, no artificial stuff like formula. 3. Breast milk aids the babies intestinal tract to digest food with vitamins, enzymes and minerals naturally found in breast milk. 4. breast feeding is inexpensive 5. breast feeding helps the woman who gave birth lose the extra pounds she gained. she will lose around 500 calories every time she breast feeds. hope that helps :)
Human babies need breast feeding or formula in a bottle.
All mammals Breast Feed there babies/children.....:)
Antibodies in pumped breast milk are highly effective at providing immune support for infants. They help protect babies from infections and illnesses by boosting their immune system.
