The Internal Part of the Leaf, 1.Upper Epidermis-outermost single layer of cell located at the top 2.Mysophyll Layer-the leafs photosynthetic part because it is the engine room of the plants food factory,It is divided in to two sublayer a.Palisade Layer-it has no longer no. of cells filled w/ chloroplasts 3.Veins-structure found more or less in the middle of the cross section of spongy mysophill layer a.XYLEM-bringing H2O upward. b.PHLOEM-bringing food downward. 4Lower Epidermis-do not contain chloroplasts.This layer has more stomata and less cutin.
