1. Most of the time, a fire is just a chemical reaction of atoms. If you light a match, you are actually igniting phosphorus, the chemical on the match. The reaction reacts again with oxygen keeping the fire fuel to keep on staying lit. So basically a fire is made up of oxygen and other particles, just at a high temperature. Some belive that fire is a plasma, the fourth state of matter
