This error is present in a compass which is damped in tilt. A compass damped in tilt always settles east of the meridian and above the horizon in NH, and vice-versa. Its magnitude depends on the observer's latitude, Sin( error ) α Tan( latitude ) At equator, the error is nil. The error is eastward in all northernly latitudes, and vice-versa. For the purpose of damping error, a latitude rider / adjuster is provided with the gyro compass which shifts the lubber line equal to the amount of error in the appropriate direction.
Compass is a device which is used to see directions previously. Compass consists of a Magnet freely suspended . A free Magnet always shows Geographical North and Geographical South. So Compass consists of a Magnet and a Aluminium pointer showing east and West direction.
The Gyro S107 is a toy helicopter. In order to charge the S107 you will need a USB cord. You can charge the helicopter on a computer if you choose to. The remote control takes batteries and is not rechargeable.
yes! it has a gyro and it can hover! it a 3.5 channel heli
North seeking gyro is the best gyroscopic surveying instrument for the mining and Oil & Gas industries. As it is a North-Seeking Gyro, all measurements are in reference to geographic North. Unlike other downhole survey or magnetic tools, it is not affected by magnetic interference. When it comes to directional surveying where precision and accuracy are of paramount importance, especially in areas with strong magnetic influences, true North-seeking gyro while drilling is the only solution. It can run inside casing without worrying about the magnetic influences causing deviations and errors.SPT true North-seeking gyro while drilling uses quartz technology, more rugged and highly precise in operation.

Elmer Ambrose Sperry was the inventor of the gyro compass and gyroscope.

There are 60 minutes in 1 degree.
The term Gyro refers to any Gyroscope (Space,Earth,Tied or Rate) whereas Directional Gyro is typically a Tied Gyro which is used in Aircraft for the purpose of Heading reference in DGI (Directional Gyro indicator) because it does not suffer any errors like magnetic compass.
A magnetic compass uses the poles of our planet to stay in alignment. A Gyroscopic compass is set to a particular direction and tends to try to stay that way. After time, even the best Gyro will start to precess (move). This means the you will need to compare your Gyro to the magnetic every 15 minutes or so. Some modern gyroscopic compasses are capable of auto resetting to do this update automatically
a navigational compass, under the control of a gyroscope, that automatically indicates true north.
It uses a magnetic needle to point to the earth's magnetic North Pole. The only other type of compass used is a gyro-compass. This uses a wheel which rotates parallel with the earth's rotation.
