The strike force chases him down but right wehn they have him in their grasp a R.U.N Hind attack helicopter destroys the bridge and forces the survivng members of the strike force out of their vehicals and into a massive gun battle with R.U.N forces. However right in the middle of the firefight a leaking tanker truck explodes and sends the team hurling towards the ground where the last of the strike force make a final stance on the bridge where all the team members but Gaz, Soap, Price and a Marine are left alive. But thaat changes shortly after when Zakhaev walks out from the smoke with two of his soldiers and they execute Gaz and the marine. The task force ends up finding out from Rojas that Makarovs most hated enemy is lock up in a gulag of the coast of Petropavlovsk, and is only known name at the moment is prisoner 627. After busting down the door in true british style Soap and Roach end up freeing 627 who ends up being Captain price who was still incarcerated in a Russian millitary hospital when the R.U.N won the war. Price decides to help his old friend and task force 141. But as any true hero would agree price thinks the war in America needs to be one if they ever hope to capture Makarov. -General sheperd being the charmer he is denys Price an authorization to help in the American homefront. But Price won't have any of that and temporarly goes rouge with 141 to assault a russian nuclear sub base. After more fancy british accents and more dead Russians Price gets inside a nuclear sub and launches a nuclear missle at washington D.C But instead of blowing the city to hell he detonates the nuke in the atmophere creating an EMP that frys all electroncis that were currently turned on any where on the Eastern sea border. Whcih includes Russian millitary hardware. -after a long a bloody fight the Americans push back the russians and the battle for D.C is won. Afterwards T141 narrows Makarovs hiding places to two loactions and so they split up. Roach and other fellow T141 members including one named "ghost" take a lodge in the Euro mountains. While Price and Soap go to a aircraft boneyard in the land of Arabian nights.
