it is called emancipation
In New York State, a child can generally move out at the age of 18, which is the legal age of majority. However, if the child is legally emancipated or has parental consent, they may be able to move out before turning 18.
In Idaho, the legal age of majority is 18. However, if you are 17 and can demonstrate to the court that you are self-sufficient and able to take care of yourself, you may be able to legally move out on your own before turning 18. It is recommended to seek guidance from a legal professional or the court system for specific advice in your situation.
Legally, there is no way to wait to buy insurance for a new car. All new cars must have valid insurance policies before they are able to leave the lot.
I am thinking you are either stupid, or you dont understand what emancipation is....either way a 20yr old is already legally an adult and therefor is not able to be emancipated. To Be Emancipated is for a MINOR(teenager) to be considered an ADULT before actually turning 18 so that the parents are no longer responsible in any way for said teen.if the person is 20, it is an adult and you are not responsible for anything anyway....if you want to kick them out...just dooo it (legally of course)

Many places allow you to legally "divorce" your parents or children. If your son is legally an adult than you should be able to do this, if not, don't bother.
