umm im pretty sure its responce :) hop i helped A plant growing toward light is an example of positive phototropism.
If you grow the Stem in the dark then it wouldn't be healthy/wouldn't grow, and if you grow the Root not towards the ground then it will be wobbly and go ON the ground INSTEAD of going into the ground and wouldn't grow :)
It is called "phototropism". It is caused by the destruction (by light) of chemicals (called Auxins), produced by the growing tip, that is responsible for making plants cells elongate. The side in shadow therefore elongates while the side in full Sun does not. This turns the plant growth towards the Sun.
Medial rotation is what this is called.
When the Sun rises over the land early in the morning, it heats the ground which in turn heats the air. Warmer air rises, and air from over the ocean is sucked in below it to replace all that air that rose. This air movement is called a sea breeze. In the evening, the Sun is on its way down, the ground cools and falls toward the ground, pushing the air from the ocean back out over the ocean. This air movement is also called a sea breeze.
Phototropism

Tropism is the movement of a plant away from or toward a stimulus. The most easily found example of tropism is a plant's response to light. Plants tend to grow toward the light. This tendency is called 'phototropism'.

They grow toward the pond in order to get food and water.
Plants change through a phenomenon called a tropism. Some examples include a positive phototropism (growing toward a light source) and a negative gravitropism (growing upward, against gravity).
If you grow the Stem in the dark then it wouldn't be healthy/wouldn't grow, and if you grow the Root not towards the ground then it will be wobbly and go ON the ground INSTEAD of going into the ground and wouldn't grow :)

Gravity.
These growth responses are called tropisms. Growing towards the light is called phototropism, and towards the source of gravity is geotropism.
toward what?
