A:No, there is no suggestion in the Bible that the serpent was possessed by a demon. If that had been the case, God could have driven the demon out, just as the gospels describe Jesus as driving demons out. Genesis 3:14 describes God as punishing the snake and all its descendants for its part in the first sin, so God saw the serpent as responsible, not some demon. Of course, we know that snakes are physically incapable of speech, but we should see this story as an allegory not a true history of man's fall from a paradise.
