It is a rare condition called situs inversus. It can also include all your organs, (such are your heart) where your organs are mirror imaged to where they are supposed to be. It is a congenital condition, i.e. you were born that way. Usually it is found early because an infant has problems vomiting, etc. Some people live their whole lives and don't realize they have it until the have a CT scan or other x-ray with contrast, as it doesn't show up until then. An appendicitis often reveals the condition as the appendix is not found where it should be.

What is the left side of a ship called why not use left and right?

Define left side of a ship? Left and right are the sides of the human body and you relate it to the body. The problem is that left and right change depending on which way you are facing. If you are facing the front of the ship the port side is to your left and the starboard side is on your right. By using port and starboard, you are avoiding confusion when talking to other people.

Does blood go to the pulmonary artery after leaving the aorta?

Nope. It goes to the kidneys or intestines first.... It starts at the Left lung. Travels into the left atrium and then into the left ventricle. Then up into the aorta and then gets separated into the kidneys and intestines. From the inestines it enters the liver and ends up in the right atrium and then the right ventricle. From there it goes to the pulmonary artery and then into the right lung.
