WEAR LOTS OF LOOSE COMFORTABLE COTTON, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO FIT IN KHAKI OF COURSE. YOU CAN GET ONE OF THOSE Panama JACK HATS TO KEEP THE SUN OFF YOUR FACE AND DEFINATELY GET COMFORTABLE SHOES SO YOU CAN ENJOY ALL SIGHTS ON NON ACHING FEET. LIGHT CLOTHES ARE BEST SO TO KEEP YOU COOL. DONT FOR GET THE SUNSCREEN. Actually Australia has a wide range of climates and so it depends which part you will be visiting and when. If you are visiting the southern parts between November and April you will need clothing suitable for very hot weather ( 40 degrees Celsius at times) and between May and August clothing for a Mediterranean-type winter (Victoria New South Wales and Tasmania all have snow fields as well). The northern parts can be extremely hot and humid in the summer months. As mentioned above sun protection is a must - bushman type hats are readily available and are the best. However I would forget the khaki- not all of the Aussie stereotypes accurately represent how Australians dress. Normal western style dress is the norm.
Australians wear the same type of clothing as people in the rest of the western world. Depending on the climate of the area you are visiting, you may wear jeans or shorts, long-sleeved shirts or t-shirts, sandals or sneakers.
It is always advised that, if you are planning to visit Australia, watch the weather and temperature reports for at least a week beforehand to see what the weather patterns are. They can change from day to day in southern Australia, while even the north is no longer consistent.
In australia they like to dress comfy. In the summer we usually wear shorts and a t-shirt and maybe a jumper. The type of clthing is basically the same in the US and Canada. Hope this helps!...
It depends on what part of Australia you're in; and what season it is. I live in Melbourne, Victoria and Melbourne is famous for having " four seasons in one day". In Summer, we would wear shorts, 3/4 shorts, cargo shorts, singlets, tank tops, T-shirts, skirts-all lengths, sandals, high heels, scuffs, Ballet flats, bikinis, board shorts, thongs.
In Winter, we would wear jackets, coats, jeans, trackies, beanies, boots, long-sleeved tops and shirts, jumpers, blazers.
In Spring, (which is my favourite season) and Autumn, we would wear all this stuff and everything in between.
I went to the Gold Coast in Queensland recently for the first time. I arrived in a nice dress and high heels because it was also my birthday and the first day of my long -awaited honeymoon. By the time we got there, I wanted to get changed out of my shoes because they were hurting my feet. A friend of ours that lives up there that picked us up from the airport told me to put on a pair of thongs. I said, "I don't have thongs" and showed him the sort of thongs I DO have-they're platform thongs. Anyway, I went into the bathroom and got changed and came out wearing a little pair of cargo shorts, a singlet and a pair of runners. I said to my friend, "Is this more 'Gold Coast style' "? He said, "Yeah, that's perfect." Anyway...all year round on the Gold Coast, their "uniform" is singlet, boardies and thongs.
That's pretty much the gist of what Aussies wear. ;-)
It is entering summer in Australia (Nov 4) and depending on where in Australia, you would want to pack for warm, but not too humid weather. Generally sunny in most areas and often temperatures varying between 28-40 degrees Celsius. If you're going to Darwin or Perth though expect high 30's as it is more desert than elsewhere.
Australia has the same fashion sense as the United States of America.

The Mississippian Indians primarily wore clothing made from animal hides, such as deerskin or bison hides. They crafted garments like loincloths, skirts, and tunics, often adorned with fringes, beads, and feathers. They also wore moccasins for footwear.
