It could be Digital Hyperkeratosis*. There is a chance that it is not that condition though, and you should have your bulldog's feet checked. *A skin condition affecting the foot pads causing them to thicken. Thickenning can cause cracked, infected, and even painful foot pads.

Why do people like to breed English bulldogs?

This is a person's personally prefrence. It depends on what you're looking for in a dog, etc. I happen to like Bulldogs for their loving big eyes and pug noses that make their face squish together into little rolls and wrinkles. c: Bulldogs do have quite a few health problems though, and no dog should be adopted based on just looks.

Are Bulldogs good dogs to keep with little kids in the house?

Yes Bulldogs are good dogs. I have a bulldog at home and my little sister ( 3 or 4 years old) is with us. He never bites, growles or anything to her. Even if she pulls his tail, or hits him. That's why bulldos are good dogs for kids to have.

Are bulldogs hard to keep?

There are different kinds of bulldogs and each needs a little different care. For example the English Bulldog is a couch potato so needs very little space to exercise. Conversely, the American Bulldog needs to run. If you're looking at a pitbull you should know that there are doggy daycares that forbid this breed; there are condo buildings who forbid this breed in their covenants - even though they can be very loving dogs. One common characteristic of every kind of bulldog is that they are very loyal to their owner.
