A person that judges others without getting to know that person or having proof of what they are judging them for. Judgemental people can unfairly judge in many aspects of society: politics; religion; business; race problems, etc. ___ I'd extend the meaning to an urge that some people have to judge just about everything they encounter, including quite unimportant things. I remember a great-aunt of mine who suffered from this; it was almost like some illness. For example, once when visiting us, she said out of the blue to my parents, 'Your new curtains are very ugly'. It was a strange inability to take people and things as she found them. Oddly enough, in most other respects she was likeable.
That person is being judgemental.
Judgemental.
Judging others make a person judgmental.

There are many ways a person can deal with a judgemental closed minded person who failed to recognize that their friend has a new friend who cares about them. They can speak to them by having a heart to heart, or they can lessen their time together. Sometimes the friendship will end for good.
What is the differnce between judging versus criticizing or being critical versus judgemental? A 'judgemental' person suffers from an urge to pass judgement, like crazy, on just about everything and everybody. For example, a judgemental person is invited to lunch and, without being asked for an opinion, says things like, 'Your new curtains are ugly'. In plain English this is downright rude. Moreover, if you confide your problems in such a person, he or she will pass judgement, without giving a moment's thought to whether he or she has the relevant facts. Judgemental people are very bad at listening. In general, they are not popular, as you can imagine. Being critical. Often this expression is used in the sense of being skeptical. Criticizing. From time to time we are asked for our opinion on things and/or to criticize.
well i am catholic and people tell me all the time that "I'm not a real christian" and "catholics are judgemental"... being judgemental all depends on the individual person it doesn't matter what religion they are. by saying I'm judgemental they are really the ones being judgemental. as long as you believe you are a christian and you hold to your christian values then it wont matter what other people tell you. just stick to your belifes and don't let anyone try and change them. good luck :) I'll say a prayer to help you
Being judgmental can be seen as protective because it allows individuals to quickly assess and categorize situations and people in order to make quick decisions. By forming judgments, people may believe they are protecting themselves from potential harm or danger by avoiding certain individuals or situations that they deem as risky or threatening. However, being overly judgmental can also lead to misunderstandings and missed opportunities for growth and connection with others.
