Depends on your separation, if you have completed you contract requirements without issues then it is called an End of Term of Service (ETS), if you can not meet Height/Weight, have medical issues, fail to pass a Physical Fitness test or drugs or alcohol issues then it is called a Chapter.

Well, if the army releases you, it's called an honorable discharge. If you leave the army for a short time, like taking a break or something, it's called a furlough.
