The number one difficulty of all military men stationed in far flung regions is boredom, coupled with tolerating the weather (elements). Bear in mind, that military men stationed in those places do NOT have the convenience's of: going and coming when they wish, nor where they wish to go (they're stuck there); primitive hygiene conditions (cold water to bath or shower in, limited amount of water to do so), NO FLUSH TOILETS; sleeping in wet or cold beds or sleeping areas; NO female companionship; cold food or the same old food over and over again; little or NO modern entertainment facilities nor equipment...or no power to operate them with, etc. etc. etc.

Nothing. The US is only at war in Afghanistan, not against. The American and Afghanis are working together, much like the Americans and Iraqis, to fight against terrorist groups within Afghanistan and to better the country of Afghanistan.
The life expectancy of a soldier landing in the streets of Normandy was about 3 seconds. Every three seconds a soldier would die.
yes
The US took sides in an ongoing civil war in Afghanistan, it did not attack Afghanistan. The reason for taking sides was that the existing theocratic government of Afghanistan had supported terrorist activities against the US.
The latest king of Afghanistan was HE Mohammad Zahir Shah (late)
