A monk is a man who has chosen to devote his life to a certain discipline of prayer. Monks dressed in loose brown robes, tied at the waist with a cord. In 520 CE, a priest named Benedict built a monastery in Italy. The rules he established were called Benedictine Rule. According to these rules, priests could not marry, could not own goods, and had to obey their abbot. The abbot was the head or ruler of the monastery. The abbot made the rules or laws of the monastery.
A christrian monastery is often defined by strict rules, hard work, and fasting. It is not a pleasant place for the average person of the 21st century.
Life in a monastery was quite limited in that they had to make a vow to lead a monastic life for the est of their lives. Most of the activities included prayers, going for mass, farming and ensuring that the monastery was running all through.
If you are a Christian monk, yes. Christian monks do not give up their religion upon entering a monastery.
monastery (Thats Life Magazine lol)
very busy and strict
I'm not sure I can verify that it is the "first ever" monastery, but I do know that it is widely accepted that St. Anthony is the father of Christian monasticism. His followers founded the Monastery of St. Anthony in Egypt in 356 CE.
Live a normal life. There is no rules you have to follow to be a christian in your everyday life. Being a Christian is a relationship with God! Treat Him like a friend! Talk to Him! like u would a friend.

A monastery relates to religon by reserving space for prayer. In some religions, for example Buddhism and Catholicism, monks and nuns choose a life of solitude and contemplation. The monastery allows them to devote their life to prayer, study and meditation, without the distractions of the outside world.
