A logical printer is a type of "virtual printer"; asking one to "print" a file will convert the file to another type you desire, and save it in a specified directory or immediately fax or email the file to the number or address you specify.

One example of a logical printer is the Microsoft XPS Document Writer, which comes standard in newer Windows versions. It will, for example, convert an Excel sheet to PDF format, given you've selected it as your default printer.

How do you set different print priority for different users?

# Open Printers and Faxes.# Right-click the printer you want to set, click Properties, and then click the Advanced tab.# In Priority, click the up or down arrows, and then click OK.Or, type a priority level, where 1 is the lowest level and 99 is the highest, and then click OK.# Click Add Printer to add a second logical printer for the same physical printer. For instructions.# Click the Advanced tab.# In Priority, set a priority higher than that of the first logical printer.# Instruct the regular group of users to use the first logical printer name and the group with higher priority to use the second logical printer name. Set the appropriate permissions for the different groups.Notes * To open Printers and Faxes, click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.* You gain no benefits just from setting a priority to a printer. You need to set at least two different logical printers for the same physical printer to take advantage of this option.

Why can't i print uniface reports from vista?

To define a printer to which the Uniface application can print, you need to define a logical printer name and map it to a physical printer.Output can be sent to the printer only if the device table specified in the print job model is appropriate to the platform and printer.Click the version icon in the Uniface application title bar and choose Setup to start the Uniface Setup dialog.Click the Printer tab and click Add.In the Printer definition dialog, enter the name of the new logical printer and click >> to select the physical printer. This adds a [PRT_LogicalPrinter] subkey to the Printer key in the Windows Registry.Otherwise, edit the [printer] section of the initialization file, adding a mapping using the following syntax: LogicalPrinter=PhysicalPrinterFor example: myprinter=\PRINTERS\HPLASERJ 4Silandsc=\PRINTERS\HPLASERJ 4Si

Purchase Cheap Canon Printer Ink Online?

Cheap Canon printer ink can be found online at prices far below those that you will see in your nearest office supply store. While it may seem convenient and logical to hop in your car and drive to the office supply store when your Canon inkjet printer's printer ink is running low, you will actually save a great amount of money by ordering your Canon printer ink online and waiting a day or two for it to arrive in the mail.
