Yes b/c it came from a living thing. but keep in mind that the Cork cell could be mixed w/ non living things such as plastic, PVC etc. The cork cell is no longer living, it is a dead plant cell.

I don't know this for sure but i think cork comes from cork trees. So I'm guessing its made up of plant cells then.
