After magma hits air it turns into lava
They are different because lava is when it hits earth's atmosphere; magma turns to lava. Magma is when its inside the volcano. They are different because of the color: darker/blacker and magma rocks are way hotter. Lava rocks are colder and fragile.
Sleet
when H2O (water) hits snow it turns to ice
the sky usually turns red when the sunset hits
it is called a meteorite
When the plate subducts, the crust is destroyed and turned into magma. Some of this magma may rise and come through the crust. When it hits the sea floor, it cools down and turns into solid rock. This can keep on building up until it hits the surface.

Magma that flows onto the Earth's surface is called Lava.
Nothing until it hits its melting point. Once it hits its melting point, its particles begin to move more freely, and the solid turns into a liquid.

It is called magma before it hits the surface. Once it is on land it is called lava.
The mantle and the outer core are melted rock. The inner core remains solid due to great pressure.
lava or magma because magma is the molten rock inside the volcano and lava is the molten rock that's on the earths crust or outside of the volcano.
The colour that it is lol. For a picture go here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/coreywilloughby/254842207/ Im not sure if it is actually magma or a water splash, but that is what the colour should be.
Solid Gold Hits was created in 1986.
Lava pushes itself out from a volcanoe by building up at its state of building up it is actually called magma. The magma eventually builds up until it hits a weak spot in the land and the now called lava spews out. Really hope it helped. : D
Molten rock, when it hits the surface, is known as lava. Before it reaches the surface, it is known as magma.
