Man is a tripartite being - he is a soul, has a spirit and lives in a body. The body is just the casing the real person is within, which is the soul. As a man your spirit and body performs the functions of interfacing you to the two paradigms of existence, the spiritual realms and the natural (earthly). By your spirit you gain access and connectivity with the spiritual realms and by your body you interact with the physical world around you.
