Modulating means the actuator is receiving an analog signal (usually 0-10v, 2-10v or 4-20mA) that is theoretically infinite and exact (i.e. 2.1v = 21% open on 0-10v=0-100%).
Floating means that the actuator is receiving two discrete commands, an open or a close. These commands are ON/OFF or open/closed contact. It uses the timing of the actuator to essentially guess the position to be in. For example, if it needs to be at 20% open and the actuator is a 90 second model, from full closed it will send an open command for 18 seconds (90*20%).
Dear Sir,does it mean "modulating duty",it means can control the valve by a singal. for more informaion, can refer to http://www.valve-actuator.org/Multi-turn-Valve-Actuator/118.html
What does a modulating pressure control do
It's Angle modulated system where the amplitude remains constant & frequency & phase varies with respect to modulating signal.
electronic throttle actuator
The main function of a valve actuator is to control the valves ON to Close or modulating the valve, and the motor operated valve actuator is one important kind of valve actuator, the main different between kind valve actuators is it drive by electric power.
modulating signal is the low frequency signal .so we cant transmit for a long distance.so we go for modulating the signal either by modulating the amplitude or frequency or phase of the signal.
Modulating controls are used for pressure control, rating and for mixing of liquids at different temperature.
What does it mean when the stool started out as is yellow and floating.
This code is for the exhaust cam actuator timing system. There are a few things that can cause this. Anything from the actuator solenoid, to the actuator, to an internal engine problem. - Tech JK ---------------------------
