36 is the band size for the bra, and C is the cup size.. all "C" cups are not the same. a 36C has the same cup size as a 34D. when shopping at websites they tell you how to measure properly. If some skinny girl says shes a 38D shes wearing the wrong bra.. she probably more like a 34F.. a lot of women make the mistake of wearing too large a band size and they dont get the support they need.
