Best Answer

It is defined as a process of having a high temperature in the green house although it receives fewer radiations than the outside. It occurs due to the high concentration of carbon dioxide and vapor content. The glass walls are also included under it. They allow the short wave radiations to enter the house. There is almost no dissipation of energy as the longer heat waves cannot penetrate through the carbon dioxide and vapor. It leads to the warmer dust and cloudy nights as compared to the dry nights. The gas such as carbon dioxide is known as the green house gas as it is transparent to the solar radiations but have the ability to absorb infra red waves. These are also known as the long waves. The carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere has increased which may be attributed to the increase in the temperature of atmosphere. This effect is known as the green house effect. It melts the ice and increases the sea level.

The greenhouse effect is the process by which gases in Earth's atmosphere trap heat from the sun, leading to the warming of the planet. This warming effect is essential for maintaining a livable climate on Earth, but human activities have increased the concentration of greenhouse gases, intensifying this effect and contributing to global climate change.

The greenhouse effect is a natural process by which some of the radiant heat from the Sun is captured in the lower atmosphere of the Earth, thus maintaining the temperature of the Earth's surface. The gases that help capture the heat, called "greenhouse gases," include water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and a variety of manufactured chemicals.

The Greenhouse Effect:

Greenhouse gases, such as water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane etc., move around in the atmosphere. They trap some of the heat radiated out from the Earth that would normally move out into space. This is called the greenhouse effect. It is natural, and is run by the earth's carbon and water cycles. Without this warming we would be a cold dead planet.

The Enhanced Greenhouse Effect:

Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, 260 hundred years ago, we have been burning fossil fuels, initially coal, then oil and natural gas in much greater quantities than before. This is adding extra Carbon Dioxide to the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, much more than the normal carbon cycle, and is making the atmosphere and the planet warmer. Increased demand for food and red meat has led to massive deforestation for grazing land. Trees are a valuable soak for carbon dioxide. More cattle mean more methane expelled into the atmosphere. Methane is a much more dangerous greenhouse gas than CO2. This process is called the enhanced, or accelerated greenhouse effect.
