A sensor is a device that is used to measure something and record it. It can measure heat, sound, light, frequency, or motion and respond to it.
i think it's in the mass air flow meter == == If you meant the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor, it is either built into the Mass air flow sensor, as suggested above, or a separate sensor in the induction air piping not far from it.
I have no idea what is meant by "spark sensor." There is no such thing as a spark sensor. TDC is simply when the #1 cylinder piston is at the top of it's compression stroke. TDC is a mechanical term, and is not related to anything electrical or electronic as in the case of a sensor.
Sorry I meant knock sensor on 1993 Chevy blazer k1500
A mechanic advised me that it meant the speed sensor needed replacement, not verified.
I'm pretty sure you meant "motor mount sensor" ... but regardless, there is no such thing.
MAP sensor is usually a square looking thing with a vacuum line and electrical connector attached to it. If you somehow meant the MAF sensor then it is located in the air intake hose near the throttle body. . MAP sensor is usually mounted to the fire wall of the vehicle.
what is meant by IAT. The IAC is located right in front of the throttle body. The Intake Air Temprature sensor is threaded into the cylinder number FIVE intake runner in the lower intake manifold.
almost any malfunction in your car can cause a drop in gas mileage (including the cam sensor) any time when your engine has to try harder to do what it is meant to do or is confused, and has to guess, due to a bad sensor it can cause poor mileage, and even further damage to your vehicle ex: a bad cam sensor can also make starting your car take longer possibly damaging your starter.
You assumed that Code PO420 Catalysis System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) meant the converter was bad? Not necessarily so. It can be an exhaust leak, defective O2 sensor on bank 1, engine coolant sensor is defective, leaking fuel injector, cylinder misfire, or problem with wiring on O2 sensor.
It is screewed into the passenger side of the engine block just in front of the starter. Thanks that what I thought. Actually I meant 1993 instead of 1995 but its the same place.
Bank 1 is the side of the V8 or V6 engine where cylinder #1 is located. On Chevy engines that is on the drivers side.
No, the image sensor is not a MEMS flow sensor as many think.
