It means exactly what it says. Nathan the prophet was rebuking King David for a misstep; and he used this famous parable of the rich man and the poor man. The rich man alludes to David, while the poor man was Uriah.

Many people should realize that The Bible are mainly written in parables. So, many of the sentences and verses cannot be taken literally, and this one is no different.
From the "Divine" prospective according to the KJVB, as it is written, "The rich man thereof are full of violence"(Micah 4v12). Then let's take a look at "Psalms 49 v 6-8, "They (evil men), that trust in their wealth , and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches (7) none of them by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him. However, if one should have the blessings of the Lord it maketh them rich, and he added no sorrow to it.(Prov. 10 v 22)
Then the poor is just as Jesus taught about on the mount, Matthew 5 v 3, "Blessed are the poor in spirit for their is the kingdom of heaven.
It is therefore the will of God that these two be joined and be one in his eyes, and for that reason we humans are the mediator for these two powerful forces.
