"Mechanical" thinking is a limited, machine-like way of solving problems. It is the result of the process of the progress of centuries of civilization. Humans strive to make their lives easier, faster and cheaper by adapting and manipulating their environent to fit outcome-based desires. The result is that those outcomes are gained at the cost of largely unintended consequences (like pollution or extinction of species). It can be best seen in oposition to "relational" thinking, which takes the whole system into account, a more flexible, responsive and ultimately sustainable way of solving problems.
In general, "mechanical" is not the opposite of "authentic." The opposite of mechanical is manual. The opposite of authentic is fake.
What does mechanical conventions mean when used in literature?
The opposite of mechanical (by machine) could be biological or natural. The opposite of mechanical (perfunctory, without thought) could be conscious, considered, or thoughtful.Where mechanical has the connotation automatic, the opposite would be manual.
Thinking about thinking
A mechanical man could be called a robot or a cyborg, depending on the level of mechanization.
Question too vague. Resubmit. Are you thinking about physical structures or mechanical ?
Distance is not a chemical property, so it should be looked up in physical or mechanical textbooks. Ask: What formula distance has?
You might be thinking of a stress fracture; a fracture of a bone caused by repeated (rather than sudden) mechanical stress.
The field of mechanical engineering calls for the perfect combination of cognitive abilities such as strong knowledge of industry standards, strong analytical thinking, and effective communication capabilities. Right from evaluating the requirement of the project to assessing the efficiency of mechanical components, engines, and devices, Enoch Mayfield is a celebrated name in this sector.
I think what you mean is Mechatronics. Mechatronics is the synergistic combination of precision mechanical engineering, electronic control and systems thinking in the design of products and manufacturing processes. It relates to the design of systems, devices and products aimed at achieving an optimal balance between basic mechanical structure and its overall control.
Possibly thinking of the Mechanical Hound from Fahrenheit 451? sounds like 'curl-up' from m.c.escher.
Logic is an intellectual tool which has been instrumental in allowing people to figure out how to create technology. Illogical thinking does not lead to workable technologies.
a mechanical designer designs and make mechanical things
A robot consist mechanical and non-mechanical both
Just the memorization of material without thinking about it. Mechanical responses by one who does not really understand what he is saying, or is just regurgatating what he thinks his listener, possibly a teacher, wants to hear.
There are several different medical devices designed and licensed to perform mechanical CPR. One popular model is the LUCAS-line of devices.
Mechanical devices mostly symbolize the parts, joints, rigid structures in it... they mostly symbilize the tough mechanical components therefore call as mechanical :)
