In history Iraq was named mesopitamia. It was one of the places where many usefull inventions where invented. The wheel was one. they used it to carry heavy things around. Another was the wagon, used for traveling long distance when the Mesopotamians had no mounts. They also invented laws and the first writing.Theres was called cuneiform. Cuneiform was triangle shaped wedges into clay.They used stylus to write. there's was made out of reed.they wrote down laws,myths,stories and other things. Because of writing we now know a lot about Ancient Iraq.......or Mesopotamia.
It was the main source of water for Egypt. Without the Nile, Egypt would have been a very harsh and desolate place to live in. The Nile flooded each year and this inundated the land, making the earth suitable for growing crops in which the Egyptians would then harvest after the flood had receded. The Nile also had religious connotations as well, which was why the Egyptians worshipped it. It symbolised fertility and life for them, as the desert would have encroached upon them where the Nile valley ended.
