um looking at the speed difference the 2 ghz and 2mb cache is better but if the speed diff. was like 2 ghz and 2mb vs 3ghz and 1 mb then go in for the 3 ghz one as in this case the larger memory storage gives u an advantage in many areas

What does a fast clock do to the performance of the CPU?

Increasing the clock-speed of a processor increases its performance. There is so much more that goes into the overall performance of a processor (cache speed, cache size, hit / miss frequency on L1 and L2 cache, cycle recovery time on the cache, architecture, core efficiency, pipeline length, and northbridge frequency just to name a few) However, simply increasing a processor's clock speed WILL improve its performance, to an extent. Fast clock speeds send more calculations through the processor cores more frequently, thus leading to your increased performance. If it is pushed too high, a processor begins to see diminishing returns as more cache misses, overheating, and voltage inefficiency start setting in. Always consider properly researching this matter before considering raising the clock speed of your processor.

Measures how quickly the CPU processes data?

Clock Speed Edit: Not really. Clock speed alone has a very small effect on the processing power of a CPU. Allow me, as pasted from another similar answer: Most basic? Clock speed along with operations per clock cycle. This measures how frequently the processor processes data and how much it can process each frequency "tick" Clock speed's nice, but more operations per cycle is far more important. Cache hit rate, pipeline length, cache miss recovery cycle time, integer unit efficiency, MMX processing power, FSB speed, thermal efficiency, etc can all change how powerful and fast a processor is. Cache hit / miss rate and recovery time have just as substantial effect on processing power as the clock speed does.

Why is the digital alarm clock better than the origanal alarm clock?

It is better because people can read it better that the original one.

The CPU clock speed determines the performance of the CPU?

Not really, if you have a cpu with 1 core and 3ghz vs a multi core with 2.6ghz, the multi core is much better, it can handle more stuff and do it quicker, more cache also helps determine performance.

Which is better Core2duo or amd turion?

Depends on what their Clock Speed Is, Clock Speed Is measured in GHz, the higher the number the better the processor. For Instance an Intel Core 2 Duo could have a clock speed of 2.00 GHz and that would be better than a AMD Turion Clock speed of 1.73 GHz.

Why is the alarm clock important?

alarm clock is important to wake people up. when they sleeping they need to wake up early or late they use it.

Does anyone want to buy grandmother clock?

There's no such thing as a grandmother clock. If you mean grandfather clock, you'd be better off selling it on ebay.

Which factors will least affect the performance of the CPU?

The performance of a CPU is least affected by its age, its size and weight. Performance is instead determined by model, clock speed and size of cache.

Which motherboard feature controls the amount of data that a CPU transfers at one time?
