The answer depends completely on the space available on your motherboard, and what size of memory chip it is hard-coded to accept. You should be able to find this information in your manual, or from the computer manufacturer's web-page.
Some computers are upgradeable for more memory, but it all depends on the make and model.
Sorry I couldn't be more specific, but which computer do you have?
Peace .... Dave
while each motherboard supports a different "maximum" ammount of memory on it the normal "memory cap" is usually around 64 gb or 124 gb at most
Read motherboard manual and look memory slots.............

The motherboard is the typical part of the computer that contains the CPU, the memory, and controllers.
Motherboard
yes
depends on the motherboard, but average would be 4gb.
Cache memory is not on the motherboard, it is inside the microprocessor chip so that it is as close as possible to the CPU itself.
It depends on the motherboard. If you can find out what type of motherboard you have, you can look up what type of memory and how much of it you can install into the memory banks. Keep in mind that the operating system that you have may limit how much of the installed memory you can actually use.
The motherboard doesn't contain cache. The chips do, but the motherboard contain RAM modules. Like when you hear a PC has 512MB of memory. The cache (memory on the chip) follows lines called a bus to the RAM (memory on the motherboard).Answer: Level 3
A motherboard must be modified to accept a particular type of memory, especially when dealing with multi-channel memory. On most motherboards, several types of modes can be configured to run at the same time. It is best to read the manual that came with your motherboard to find out how to correctly configure yours.
