fibrillation is an extremely rapid, very uncoordination twitching of the muscles. this occurs most often in the heart, replacing the usual rhythmic contractions of the cardiac muscles. muscles repeatedly twitch at dangerously high rates of speed out of sync with one another, causing potentially fatal cardiac rhythms. What is fribillation?

Fibrillation, in the heart, is the uncoordinated contraction of individaul muscle fibers, rendering the contraction useless for propelling blood. There are atrial fibrillation, common and treatable, and ventricular fibrillation, less common and the mother of all medical emergencies.

Fibrillation instead of pumping strongly the heart muscle quivers ineffectively?

Ventricular

What is the medical term meaning a condition muscle fibers contract out of step with each other?

fibrillation

What is fibrilation?

Fibrillation is what happens when the tiny muscle fibers in the heart begin to contract chaotically. Usually, these fibers contract simultaneously to pump blood. When they contract chaotically, no blood can be pumped. If it happens in the atria of the heart, the condition is called Atrial Fibrillation and is not immediately life-threatning. If it happens in the ventricles, you get Ventricular Fibrillation (V Fib) and this is deadly in minutes unless corrected by applying an external electric shock to the heart (= Defibrillation). Hope this helps.

What is the Lack of blood supply to heart resulting in rapid uncoordinated shuddering of the heart muscle called?

fibrillation

What is the medical term meaning abnormal heart rhythm that causes the ventricles to quiver?

Atrial fibrillation is the medical term meaning the irregular, uncoordinated, ineffective twitching contraction of the walls of the atria. A related condition is ventricular fibrillation, which occurs in the lower chambers of the heart.

What are the differences between fasciculation and fibrillation?

fasciculation :can be seen by the naked eyescaused by contraction of motor unitsfibrillation: not visible to the naked eyescaused by contraction of individual muscle fibres
