they are events on diamond, pearl, and platinum that can give you items and Pokemon only experienced from it or action replay (note: some are fromold games such as the new event comin out which is jarachi level 5) you can get a mystery gift by going to the big building in jublife and going to the 3rd floor and telling the one person who askswhat your opinion on tv is tell him "everyone" "happy" then he will ask you what is your feed back on tv tell him "wi-fi" "connection" and tht is how you obtain it sometimes there will be none out to get to it simply go to the menu and click on mystery gifts (menu before starting the game) and click on Via wireless i think im not sure but one of those is the way to get a mystery gift
