am not sure but i think that he feel like he is living in the past and nothing is changed right now so he is trying to get daisy like nothing happened to her and he is assuming she is free like before .
....AGAIN AM NOT SURE BUT I THINK ITS KIND OF LIKE THIS ;)
Nick believes it is futile to try to repeat the past as it is impossible and can lead to disillusionment. Gatsby, on the other hand, believes that repeating the past is possible and is determined to recreate his past relationship with Daisy.
Nick believes that repeating the past is not possible and that individuals should focus on moving forward. On the other hand, Gatsby is fixated on reliving the past, particularly his relationship with Daisy, by trying to recreate moments and feelings from their past. Gatsby's view is rooted in a belief that he can recapture lost love and happiness by repeating history.
He's not, he's part of his present corrupt business dealings
An opinion to what happened in the past
It is the consensus of scientific opinion that it is not possible to change the past.
You cannot completely eradicate repeating past mistakes. Human nature, being what it is, will ensure that. In addition some mistakes are not preventable or foreseeable. Even when they are repeating.
it is basically study of past and the people who find about the past are known as historians
To learn what mistakes we've done and how can we save ourselves from repeating it again.
Nick believes that repeating the past is impossible, as he states in "The Great Gatsby" that βYou canβt repeat the past.β He learns this lesson through his experiences with Gatsby and the other characters in the novel, as they all try to recreate past moments or relationships with ultimately tragic results. Nick comes to see the futility and even danger in trying to hold onto the past instead of moving forward.
By understanding the past can we then understand the present! hope this helps and God bless! ;D
