Though leprosy is categorized in the Guiness Book of World Records as the worlds oldest disease, This fast is in fact false.

The Worlds oldest known disease which is still very much rampant across the world, Is arthritis. Archeologists have found dinosaur bones that showed moderate to severe joint damage due to Arthritis. Thus making Arthritis the worlds oldest disease.

Leprosy and Tuberculosis are the believed to be the next two disease that have a very long history, but not as far back as arthritis. Which remains, to this day, incurable, and the worlds most painful, crippling disease known to man.
