Antibiotics should be restricted because it's not helping anyone except the Doctor Who proscribes it. Every time a doctor proscribes an antibiotic they get thousands in their pocket. Why do you think the side effects of the antibiotics are worse then your problem? But that's just my opinion!

There is certainly cause for concern regarding antibiotics. Many health professionals feel that antibiotics are overprescribed. The danger in this is that eventually, common antibiotics stop working as well or even stop working completely, and bacteria become drug-resistant. This necessitates the need for the creation of stronger antibiotics, which is often difficult.

The more exposure bacteria have to antibiotics, the more rapidly they will evolve into antibiotic resistant strains. So if you use antibiotics only when they are truly needed, they will be more effective. If you use them unnecessarily, they will become ineffective.
