The operation was a success and he had no fingerprints whatsoever. He then went on to burglarize other houses but that didn't stop the police from identifiying him. A year later, he was caught. It turns out the police had his lower fingerprint on files which match his fingerprint found at the crime scene of every house he burglarize.
