A good band name is a name that is catchy, easy to remember, original, and goes along with your music. If your band name is not catchy then no one can remember it which is another part of making a good band name. Keep it short and center. Try to keep it original, look up on the internet to see if your band name is out there. To come up with an original band name focus on what you want it to be or if you can't think of one like I did, then do something like pulling out a dictionary and find a random word by closing your eyes and placing your finger down.
