I make it by first browning the hamburger meat mixed with chopped onions and sliced mushrooms. If you prefer, Italian sausage can also be used. After the meat is browned, drain the grease off then add tomatoes. The configuration of tomatoes depends on how long you plan to cook the sauce. If you use whole tomatoes, you'll have to cook a lot longer than if you use tomato sauce. I like to use some sauce and some diced or chopped tomatoes, so that the final product has some texture. The amounts vary depending on how large a batch you intend to make. As the sauce is cooking, add spices to taste. These can include salt, pepper, garlic, bay leaf, and various other spices, but the most important is oregano (the main flavor that turns it from "tomato sauce" to "spaghetti sauce." Other possible additions include wine, parmesan, and sweeteners (if you like sweet sauce). Cook until the consistency you want is achieved, stirring regularly but not constantly.
To make homemade pizza, you need a homemade pizza crust, a pizza sauce, your favorite toppings and Parmesan or Italian cheese blend cheeses. Here is a good pizza crust recipe and the directions necessary to bake the pizza.
IngredientsThere's a million ways to make marinara. I like a very fresh, bright tasting marinara, as opposed to one that's been simmering all day. On medium to low heat, heat some olive oil until it shimmers. Add diced onions and chopped garlic and cook gently until they're translucent. Add salt and freshly ground black pepper. If you're using dried herbs you can add them now. For fresh herbs, wait till later. I recommend basil, oregano or thyme. Then add canned tomatoes--use high quality toms! That's the secret! Check for imported San Marzano tomatoes or high quality organic ones. I don't like any additives in my canned tomatoes, aside from a little salt, but you can experiment and use whatever you like. You can also experiment with the different cuts--diced, whole, crushed... If you're using fresh herbs, add them. Simmer it gently to get all the flavors balanced, season it with some salt and you're done!
Pasta sauces tend to be somewhat thick and usually require low heat and frequent stirring to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of your pan. Experience is the best teacher; the more your experiment, the better at making pasta sauce you will become.
Below are good recipes for making both Italian and Al Fredo pasta sauces.

Pizza sauce is essentially a tomato sauce. So, pureed tomatoes, water, garlic, and "italian herbs". They also sometimes have onions mushrooms or anything that would taste good with tomatoes.
Spaghetti, pizza, pizza bread, and dipping sauce for garlic bread are some things you can make with marinara sauce.
Yes, you can.
Baked bread with tomato sauce. :)
i guess you just put the sauce on. If you don't like sauce, it's like eating bread.
you put pizza sauce, cheese, and other pizza toppings on a peice of bread and then microwave it until the cheese is melted.
# Pizza dough # non-stick cooking spray (such as Pam) # Pizza sauce (can be found by the marinara and spaghettis sauce at your grocery store) # mozzerella cheese # toppings (onion, mushrooms, pepperoni, sausage etc.)
Home-made pizza sauce? How about giving that a try? That said--Prego. For sure. Better sweetness imo. they both are the same but home made sauce is way better
Not that I know of. I have never heard of peanut butter pizza. But I am sure you can make it. Instead of using pizza sauce you can use peanut butter.

You could put ice cream and make it a fun pizza with chocolate sauce as the tomato sauce....or you could put iceberg lettuce though not sure how that would taste. how that helps!
