Plasma, in blood, is 90% water, and the rest is stuff like glucose, dissolved proteins, mineral ions, carbon dioxide, hormones and clotting factors. This is the type of plasma which is in blood, not the sort that you find in plasma TV'sor the ionised gas called plasma.
It turns out that most of the universe is plasma. Plasma is what gas becomes when it is ionized. An electric spark or lightning or a gas discharge has lots of plasma. Flames and incandescent objects aren't generally plasma, but they can become plasma if the temperature becomes high enough so that everything becomes gas, then the gas becomes ionized. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasma_(physics)
It is formed by passing electric currents through gases.
In a plasma with an electrical current running through it, negatively charged particles are rushing toward the positively charged area of the plasma, and positively charged particles are rushing toward the negatively charged area.
In this mad rush, particles are constantly bumping into each other. These collisions excite the gas atoms in the plasma, causing them to release photons of energy.
There are two types of plasma:
1.Blood plasma, the yellow-colored liquid component of blood, in which blood cells are suspended.
Blood is created in the bone marrow.
2.Plasma (physics), an ionized gas, the fourth state of matter.
Most artificial plasmas are generated by the application of electric and/or magnetic fields.
I would assume the process in nature (stars) is similar.
Plasma has two separate and distinct meanings in physical science. In chemistry and physics it is an Ionized Gas. These exist in some kinds of electrical lighting tubes and naturally in the Ionosphere and the Aurora Borealis. The Mercury Vapor lamp- owes its blue glow to a form of Plasma. Meaning II is plasma in the blood system and this is entirely different. Look it up in a medical dictionary, available at most public libraries and some book stores!
its a fusion reaction i dont know what they use to get the reaction though
Gaslight explosions causing Fire
white blood cells
plasma membrane is made of a bilayer of lipids (or phospholipids) and protiens located inside and outside the same.
Plasma
Smokeless fire which is plasma
it made of layer lipid
No it is not. A messenger RNA (mRNA) is made in the nucleus of the cell. It has nothing to do with the plasma membrane.
Yes. Stars are made of plasma.
99.999% of the universe is made of plasma
Well plasma can certainly be made in the lab.
Plasma is ionized gas.
the first plasma screen television was made in 2000
Man Made plasma can be found in Fluorescent and Neon Lights.
The plasma made my blood liquidy
85% of blood is made of plasma.
Plasma. You have three liters of plasma out of five liters of blood. Plasma is mainly made up of water.
made of plasma
Yes, stars contain plasma. A star is made up of virtually all plasma.
because if plasma didn't exist we wouldn't! The sun and all stars are made of plasma :-)
