Hi,

A power op-amp is an op-amp that has the capability to deliver higher output power than the more common garden variety of op-amps. Some of them are able to handle 150 watts of output or even higher. They're also quite expensive, too.

Mainly they're used in industrial control, but probably could be used for some audio applications.
