Presumptive evidence refers to evidence which tends to prove the existence of one fact by proof of the existence of other facts from which the first may be logically inferred.

(e.g.: Two people are locked alone in a room - after they are released Person 'A' is bruised and bloody. It cannot be conclusively proven that person 'A' did not cause his own injuries but, given the circumstances, the PRESUMPTIVE evidence is that Person 'B' assaulted and beat them.)
