It is likely that there is a blown fuse. Open the fuse panel as per your instruction manual. On the fuse itself, you will see what looks like a tiny metal band. If that band is not connected (i.e. the fuse is blown) it will need to be replaced.
Otherwise it could be a short circuit somewhere.
you might have a short some where, you could start looking in the fuse panels. Also check the connection of the brake sensor, is the one that make the lights turn on.
I have had many problems with the lights on these cars and it is generally the light switch itself. But by installing a new light switch in the dash does not mean it won't happen again. It was a poor design by ford. The switch can heat up and burn the wires attatcheed to it, Check the plug on the switch to make sure it is not burned
my g6 heater and shifter console does not light up
have you checked the fuse?
Nothing. In honda's,even up through the later models, the tail lights and dash lighs are on the same fuse. Did you put in a radio? Did you use the dash light feed as a radio ground? Take out the radio, replace the fuse, and try again, if it works, find a new radio ground (I like the heavy black wire on the lighter). Relentless It could be there is a wire the is grounding out somewhere along and both the dash and the taillights are on the same circuit.
they are talking about the lights on dash that light up if something is wrong.
Turn you car key half way so that all your dash lights light up. Whatever looks like an engine is it.
Dash lights are supposed to light at startup so you know they work. The 4x4 is not working so the light won't come on other than at startup.
I'm not sure about the dash, but for the taillights you need to open the trunk and remove the plastic fasterners that hold the lining up(the fasteners are roughly behind the taillights) Once the lining is pulled down you just need to twist the plastic piece holding the bulb(turn it to the left) and pull it out. Replace the bulb with a #1157 bulb found at any auto parts store. If both you dash and break lights are out, you probably have a blown fuse, I would check these before I changed any bulbs. also u can check the wire on the driver side under the hood theres a red wire that's for the dashlights and tail lights mine caught fire and knocked it all out its part of the harness it runs up the wiper wire
middle of the dash, up by the windshield. looks like a little black LED light, but obviously doesn't light up.
its the sencor in the blinker plan on spending $500 or more part and labor they have to remove the steering wheel
The light you are describing is the "Low Coolant Level" warning light. It indicates that the coolant level in your car's radiator is low and needs to be topped up. This is important for maintaining proper engine temperature and preventing overheating.
