Star-star connection of transformer?

Star Star TransformerStar Star Transformer is formed in a 3 phase transformer by connecting one terminal of each phase of individual side, together. The common terminal is indicated by suffix 1 in the figure below. If terminal with suffix 1 in both primary and secondary are used as common terminal, voltages of primary and secondary are in same phase. That is why this connection is called zero degree connection or 0o - connection. If the terminals with suffix 1 is connected together in HV side as common point and the terminals with suffix 2 in LV side are connected together as common point, the voltages in primary and secondary will be in opposite phase. Hence, Star Star Transformer connection is called 180o - Connection, of three phase transformer.Vikram Meena

What is vector group Ynyn0 in transformer?

it is a star to star connected transformer. It having two neutrals. One is at Primary side and another is at secondary side to balance the loads. Y= Primary star connection N=Primary Neutral y=secondary star connection n=secondary neutral and 0=No phase shift between primary and secondary. So,finally this meaning is star to star connected with two neutrals and zero phase displacement. Please refer below i detailed some notations to calculate any other vector groups D= Primary Delta connection d=Secondary Delta connection a=Auto transformer Z=Zig zig connection 11=30 degrees phase shift b/w primary & secondary 1= 30 degrees phase shift b/w primary & secondary 1) Consider capital letters for Primary notations 2) Consider small letters for secondary notations 3) Consider Clock reference at 12.00 for calculation of degrees I think this procedure is very useful to calculate for other vector groups.

What is the voltage phase shift between primary and secondary line voltages in star-delta transformer connection?

The voltage phase shift between primary and secondary connections in a transformer is 180 electrical degrees.

Which side is the primary side of a coil?

Both of the small posts (pos & neg) are primaries. The large connection is the secondary.

Differentiate delta to delta connection of the transformer to delta to Y connection?

In delta to delta there will be no ground on both primary and secondary sides. Leave the primary side but we take care on secondary side. If there any fault occurs on the secondary then there will be unbalanced voltages between the phases results in the flow of current through the secondary windings so only we are using star on the secondary side while having neutral to prevent such a current flow.

Difference between primary server and secondary server?

Primary Means, it is individual there is no dependence, But Secondary will allays depends on Primary, If you want to do Secondary, you should complete primary first, There is no precondition to primary, but for Secondary Primary is the Precondition, first you should do primary, then only you are able to do secondary.
