Assuming you did all of that right, have you jumped the starter? Plus, maybe I'm not understanding this question right, but why did you swap the radio for a no start condition?
The top five reasons cars break down are dead batteries, flat tires, alternators, starter motors, and fuel problems. If you are unsure of the problem with your vehicle, see a mechanic.
the usual problem with most auto alternators is either the bearings or the rectifier the rest of the parts are fairly wear-free
This is not really an answer, but I have a problem with a wiring harness on my 93 caravan also. I have not gotten to the point of solving the problem, but was wondering if you got your problem solved and if you found a diagram and where did you get your wiring harness? Another searcher!!!!
wow, bad electrical problem, does it have an aftermarket stereo??? if so, it could be draining it. some elec problems are hard to find even with the car right in front of you.
Do a "wiggle" test. Grab the harness in different areas and wiggle it. Watch for the area that changes the problem you are having and zero in on the problem spot.
2 possibilities are 1.) the voltage regulator or 2.) the worst possible answer, wiring gremlins draining on ur elec. system i.e. (improperly wired stereo system) ~Chuck~
Changing the depth of field.
Probably you are getting inferior alternators. If this model has an external voltage regulator, then possibly it is the voltage regulator instead of the alternator that is causing the problem. As a mechanic, there is nothing in the car that would cause the alternator to be ruined. Alternatively, some people suggest that if your battery is weak, this causes a strain on the alternators, but in 40 years of wrenching I believe that is not the case.
It means there is a problem with the charging system.
First I would try changing the batteries of my remote or unplugging the TV. It could also be a problem with your TV service provider. Problems like this usually occur in bad weather. Try call your service provider or possibly the TV's company they could assist you in technical issues.
YOU either shorted something out and blew a fuse (check the fuse block) or you totally destroyed your cars wiring harness...joke.
Yes it is. I am having trouble with alternators on my 95 Aspire. They keep going out and I cannot find the problem.
