∙ 13y agomost wood chisels have a beveled edge-- this edge helps the wood to pry away from the chisel surface-- most wood chisels that I have worked with have been made with an automatic bevel in them-- even a cold chisel has a bevel but the cold chisel is used for steel and concrete.
