The pyloric pump of the stomach empties what's inside the stomach into the duodenum.
The pump is activated when the stomach distends. The pump is inhibited when there's acid inside the duodenum. The pump is also inhibited if there are substances difficult tot digest inside the duodenum.
The pyloric pump is a muscular valve located between the stomach and the small intestine, specifically at the junction of the pylorus of the stomach and the duodenum of the small intestine. Its main function is to regulate the flow of partially digested food from the stomach into the small intestine. The pyloric pump contracts and relaxes to control the release of chyme (partially digested food) into the small intestine for further digestion and absorption. Dysfunction of the pyloric pump can lead to issues such as gastroparesis or delayed gastric emptying.
The ring like muscle that controls the flow from the stomach to the small intestine is called the pylorus or the pyloric sphincter. It is divided into two parts: the pyloric antrum which is connected to the body of the stomach and the pyloric canal which is connected to the beginning of the small intestine (the duodenum).

The opening between the stomach and the small intestine is called the Pyloric Sphincter- it is a ring of muscle that contracts when the stomach is full, to seal off the opening to the small intestine whilst foodstuffs are liquified in the stomach. When this has been done, the sphincter muscle relaxes, re-opening the channel to allow the liquified nutrients into the intestines.
