The "Quar Dol" means this could be any of the quarters minted from 1838 to 1891. If the other side has nothing except the "AS", it is considered a "Love Token". In the 1800s, it was common to polish the design off of one side of a coin and engrave a loved one's initials. Since there was no "production control" for these individual efforts, there is no standard price guide, but many sell for a few hundred dollars. Check eBay for any recent sales.

One really big reason that a wheelwriter / typerwriter only types less than it should is the amount of ink on the ribbon that the type keys hit against the page. Change the ribbon and type of of the letters.
