Best Answer

Radiate heat is ENERGY TRANSFER at a distance FROM ONE OBJECT

to ANOTHER OBJECT through a form of

1. heat conduction through a medium.

2. heat waves (a variety of light waves) in the Infrared region of light

3. Energy transfer with a transfer agent.

The object that heat is being radiated TO (the target),

then rises in temperature, due to the transfer of energy.

Heat energy can leave a body by many means. One of these is for the heat to be emitted as infrared radiation waves a form of electromagnetic radiation longer than red visible light. Unlike evaporative, convective or conductive heat losses radiated heat such as this needs no medium to convey the heat away.
