Jhansi ki rani was born on 19th November 1835 in Kashi (Varanasi in UP). She was born to Bhaghirathi and Moropanth Tambe. She was named Manikarnika and the people used to call her as Manu. Later after her marriage she was named as Lakshmibai.

They deceived the Rani and conquered various parts of Jhansi. They also put their stamp on Jhansi's treasure. They were also against to give rule to Rani Lakshmi Bai's young adopted son Podharrav. They also put the annual pension of Rs.5000 on Jhansi. Seeing all this, anger surged inside Rani Lakshmi Bai and furiously fought against the British.
