Rapid detox is a process used to detox a drug addict with a minimal withdrawal period, usually only a couple of hours. Patients are given anesthesia while the rapid detox occurs, to further ensure that they do not suffer extensively through withdrawal.
With a rapid detox program, a person is put under anesthesia for 4-6 hours while opioid antagonist drugs (like naltrexone) essentially βkickβ the opioid drugs, such as heroin or prescription painkillers, out of the system. In effect, this method is meant to circumvent the pain and suffering of opioid withdrawal since the person is sedated during the process. The idea is that when the individual is awakened, the drugs will be flushed from their body, and withdrawal will therefore be minimized. The person is then monitored, usually overnight, before being released.
"Clinics that offer the most rapid detox programs are Floida detox, mdmd detox program, ambrosia detox and mrods detox. These all offer a rapid detox program which may not be the safest way."

It could take a few weeks to kick your habit. But if you have help like suboxone the first couple days are brutal but you will live, suboxone makes the detox process easier to deal with. Contact a local doctor that can set you up with a suboxone program, doing detox without any help is very hard to do and pretty painful.
