I am not sure exactly what you meant, but plans and blueprints are drawn in a variety of scales- certain key components are enlarged several times the normal scale, such as key parts as the contact shoes that hold a bridge to its abutments, one end normally fixed, the other having some expansion joints. As this is a key component, the scaled plans would be drawn larger to show vital connections, welds, where parts fit, etc. That should answer your question.
The design of a spaceship would be a collection of complicated blueprints, not unlike the blueprints of airplanes.

Yes, there is a way to extract blueprints from any of the "Sims 3" houses you designed. Simply access the menu option and select "design process". This will take you to the blueprints, as well as the steps you took to design or enhance the home.

you can design it on the computer print it and send it to a company that makes ships or you can get a degree in college and make blueprints for a company that builds ships.

Usually the DOE (Design Of Experiments) that will eliminate the factors that have little or no effect on the outcome.
that is not required.
Modern practice of architecture requires much use of the computer in applications such as design, blueprints, creating computerized models, creating 3D models, cost calculations, structural integrity testing, layout testing, and construction management. Of all these, design, blueprints, and creating models are the ones most benefited by the aid of computers because these are jobs much harder when done by hand.
