These things on the small intestine wall look like fingers called villa. The food(after it's been broken up into small enough pieces), are able to pass through the villa into the inside of it where it gets absorbed into the blood stream. Then the food/drugs & medicine/liquids/etc are transported to the parts of the body that need fuel, etc.
Villi- tiny hairlike structures in digestive system responsible for absorbing nutrients into bloodstream...!
Micro villi , they are on top of villi and transport nutrients through the intestinal wall into the bloodstream
I think it is the intestines.
The small intestine is where most nutrients are absorbed, but the large intestine is responsible for most water absorption
small intestine
to absorb water
It is small intestine made of three parts duodenum, jejunum and ileum. And mostly jejunum and ileum are responsible for absorbing nutrients .
That would be the small intestine. It's got a huge amount of surface area for absorbing those nutrients as food passes by before reaching the large intestine, which basically works to absorb leftover water.
The small intestine is the primary organ responsible for breaking down food and absorbing nutrients. Enzymes in the intestine help break down food molecules into smaller units that can be absorbed into the bloodstream for distribution to the rest of the body.
The three parts of the small intestine are:duodenum- which is the first part of the small intestine where food is being completed with chemical breakdown.jejunum- which is the middle part of the small intestine - specializes in absorbing all the nutrients (except fat) into the body.ileum- which is the last part where the small intestine meets the large intestine... also where alot of bacteria sits and eats on the undigested food.
The large intestine, commonly known as the "colon", is one of the last stops in the digestive tract. It is primarily responsible for converting partially digested food into waste that can be expelled from the body. The colon is home to millions of bacteria that finish breaking down food particles that have already been processed by the small intestine, and it is also responsible for absorbing water and vitamin K.
The small intestine- micro-villi specifically in the small intestine. The micro-villi increases the surface area of the small intestine. which allows more food particles to enter the cells of the small intestine to digest.
Small intestine is where 90% of nutrients are absorbed.
the portion of the mammalian small intestine that follows the duodenum and precedes the ileum that is the function of absorbing digested food
The chewed broken food (chyme) comes from stomach in to small intestine ... Small intestine made of three parts Deodunum ,Jijunum and Illum. They are all responsible for absopion of nutrient from chewed food (chyme)
